Ingredients
- white bread (better slightly stale)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 glass milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Slice the bread.
- Mix the egg, sugar and milk with a fork or whisk.
- Dip the bread into the mixture and put on preheated frying pan with butter. Fry both sides until golden brown.
- Serve hot with honey, jam, berries or sliced fruit. Or even chocolate paste.
Extra twists to taste: Add cinnamon or vanilla sugar to the egg wash. Substitute milk with cream.
